I really was not a fan of this book. It came highly recommended, and had huge ratings on Goodreads, but I just could not get into it. Took nearly two months to get through! It started off strong, but just end up getting really confusing. I could not really invest in the characters or understand, or care enough to understand, what was happening. By the time I got to the end, I wasn't even sure how everything got resolved. The whole thing was just a mess, if you ask me.

Shelves: 2015-pop-reading-challenge

This is my second time reading Neil Gaiman, first time was Neverwhere whitch I ended up not liking as much as I expected to, and the same goes here: I didn't managed to feel anything to the main character, some revelations were too predictable, and I felt like it missed something, especially in the characters descriptions. But the general idea was fascinating and some stories in the story were delightful, poetic, beautiful, funny or sad, sometimes both and I loved all these parts. ...more
