Three women and their families' lives become intertwined because of a tragic event which happened 28 years ago. Familial relationships, guilt, and secrets are the driving forces. A definite page turner, this one!
I enjoyed the Australian aspects.
However, it bothered me so badly that the author wrote an inconsistency, it affected the rest of the book for me. On one page Cecilia remembers something she saw on a talk show, but then on the following page she remembers that she read it in a magazine ...more

One benefit to waiting almost 5 years to re-read a book is that many of the surprises seem brand new. I really didn't remember much about this book, so the major plot points still seemed new and fresh when I read them. Another enjoyable book by Liane Moriarty. ...more

Wow! A central theme is what if and the author does a brilliant job of this. I also love how this author has so many complex characters, but you never feel overwhelmed. They are all expertly woven together. I highly recommend this book. Just wonderful.
