A rather slow read , quite stilted in Its writing style but still enjoyable. Hercule Poirot is such a fabulous character to jump out of the pages and grab your attentions.
Agatha Christie knows how to write interesting , subtle characters who surprise you at the end of the book quite often.

This was my very first Agatha Christie.
I'm not typically a fan of mystery books, but thought I'd give Ms. Christie a shot.
Definitely feels like the game Clue in story/book form.
I imagine that her books are all very similar in this way.
I do appreciate how timeless this particular story was...and the fact that it opens at a train depot in Aleppo, Syria...my how things have changed. This book was written in the 30s, but it could have been written last week. Nothing in it really indicates the time f ...more

Terrific mystery that you can't get out of your head after finishing. No wonder it is considered one of the greatest mystery novels of all time! Highly recommend to all!
