Alright, I had no idea what I was in for with this book and all I can say is that it was perfect.

Maybe timing played into it, but I felt this book so intensely my heart nearly burst through my chest. I had to stop reading to catch my breath. My husband had to keep pausing his video game to check on me. It was an intense read, especially for an empathetic being like myself, but I loved every minute of it. I was utterly intrigued by the synopis. How can a touch of a girl be fatal?? I should say I was totally let down. Let me say that I couldn't get past half the book. I usually do not give up on books, but if I do I read a good chunk of the book before deciding to give up. This book was really really terrible. Like one of those books that I simply can't visualize the process it must have gone through, getting approved for publication by one person after another.

It is about a 17 year old girl with a strange power that makes contact with her skin painful and potentially lethal to others. This is a really interesting romance novel set in a dystopian setting. Although their romance can be a bit frustrating sometimes, I like Juliette and Adam.

There are quite a few tense moments in this novel and once you start getting antsy, the suspense doesn't let up. The action and suspense are really well done!
