Uhhhh... before I start this review I think it is worth mentioning, that I haven't written a book review in 18 months. It's going to take me forever a while to get back into the groove.

Read for PopSugar Challenge (part of a trilogy). I had some lag time with this one with the over the top romance, but the story is solid and interesting. I found myself turning pages pretty fast and I have to admit- I never saw where this was going. I'm really surprised and cannot wait to read the second one. I do hope Adam goes missing for a while, as Juliette has the potential to be pretty kickass, but when they appear together in a scene, she just becomes an Adam-obsessed maniac. I want to se ...more

I read this because it was recommended on Book Riot. I've gotten pretty tired of dystopian YA series, after Hunger Games and Divergent, so I was surprised that this one was interesting enough to hold my interest. The main character has an affliction (or a superpower) and I want to know how she ends up coming to terms with that. The world building wasn't as strong as I'd like but I've heard this series gets stronger as it goes. A pretty fun quick read, and I especially like that there are several ...more
