What Members Thought
Having recently seen Saving Mr. Banks (which yes, I know is not entirely accurate) I decided to read the original Mary Poppins novel. My dad had read the books as a kid and enjoyed them, and Dad wasn't a huge reader back then. I liked it. It is certainly quite different from the movie-- Mary Poppins is much more vain and much less whimsical than Julie Andrew's, and the plot with Mr. Banks is entirely absent (which is not at all what I expected from Saving Mr. Banks, which implies that, well, Mar
