Read the book and watched the movie, liked them both.
I really, really loved this book! Learning about the Depression through the eyes of circus entertainers was very enjoyable and unexpected. This is a great book for those wanting a little non-fiction mixed in with their fiction (the book is well-researched for circus details and lore during that time period).
The book was so easy to read, and incredibly absorbing! I was almost sad when it ended - I was fascinated by the down-and-dirty circus life that we don't see or ever imagined. The character development is insane.
