What Members Thought
This would be better studied with a college class or with a brain that’s not as busy as mine currently is. There is no doubt in my mind that Toni Morrison is fantastic but this was a serious struggle for me. Switched between audio and kindle and was ready for it to be over. Hoping to watch the movie to get a better understanding.
This was amazing! Oh my goodness. I understand what they say about Toni Morrison and about Beloved now. Wow.
So, this story is a ghost story, but it's different from how we usually think about ghost stories. It's about a mother and her daughters, one of which is dead and haunting her. It's about the atrocities that people go through in the hands of other people, and how those experiences lead to such difficult decisions about life and death.
