What Members Thought
This book was such a pleasant surprise. Dystopian sci-fi with mythological themes and kids fighting each other could have gone south really fast. I'm so glad it held up extremely well! Darrow somehow felt too übermensch-ish. But apart from his fighting strategy and hand-to-hand combat skills, I felt he showed a lot of humanity. The phases where he seemed content with his life as a Red (regretting Eo's dream and his part in it), his weakness for Mustang, his dilemmas with Cassius, Sevro and Tactu

I just couldn't finish this book. The story was brutal and disturbing and I'm still not sure I like the main character. So, I decided to return it to the library. Maybe someday I'll be ready to read it but this day is definitely not today.
