My daughter introduced me to Twilight by reading it out loud to me. Since then I have read it 7 times myself ... have seen the movie who knows how many times (5 times in the theatre) ... and have enjoyed the rest of the series. What I love about this book is that here are some vampires, inherantly BAD, yet they have CHOSEN to be good! I always love the "change your stars" theme in a book, and this series does that theme very well. Add to that a romance that is totally fairy tale, Cinderella type My daughter introduced me to Twilight by reading it out loud to me. Enjoyed it all over again, December 2012. (This is roughly my 8th time reading the book).

Fabulous once again! April 2013 ... I read The Host, and when I finished it I decided to read Twilight again ... got sick, so just kept going with the series.

February 2015 ... Although it took me a while to get interested again, once I got into the story it was just as good as I've remembered.

October 2016 ... another reading, just because I love it, and my daughter wants to discuss it with me.

May 2018 ... reread again while on vacation, just for a quick and easy read. Thoroughly enjoyable even though I can about quote it all by now!

January 2021 ... with all the re-reads, you can tell I like this series. It's a quick and easy read for me by this time ... and I'm hoping it will get my back into binge reading!

August 2022 ... enjoyed something familiar and have seen the movies so many times I wanted to reconnect to the original book!

January 2023 -- I got to read Twilight in a whole NEW way this year ... my daughter gave me a personally annotated (by her) copy of the book! What a delight. Reading one of my favorite books, with her comments, many of which made me laugh, a few made me groan, and several made me think about things I'd not thought of before. What an absolute delight! She also decorated the book with stickers, placed appropriately where they belonged, and sparkly stars all over the page where Edward lets Bella see him in the sun. Such a FUN read, and great way to begin my reading for 2023!

Once again in 2025 I read Twilight with my daughter's annotations ... so glad I read it, and this time I'm going to enjoy Edward's point of view and read Midnight Sun second. ...more

This book was not as good as I remember it being the first time I read it. It seemed to drag with just fluff waiting for an ending that was rushed. Though, Bella is a way better character in the book than the movies.

Don't read it, simple. It was a waste of my time. There was no character development, no creativity. The plot is slow and boring. How can anyone be so obsessed with someone? I mean I have things to do, places to be, books to read. There is no way I can spend every waking hour thing about one thing only. ...more
