Like Divergent, Insurgent is utterly addictive. I was immediately drawn to the story and devoured it greedily in one sitting. It has everything I look for: fast paced action packed plot, good characterisation, unexpected twists and thought-provoking situations. If you haven't read Divergent, do read it first as Insurgent picks up where it left off and doesn't bring the uninitiated reader up to speed by recapping. Shelves: recommendable

I like this better than the first. More depth. And i also like Tris and Tobias' relationship. It's so normal. No third parties, just fights. Which is so normal in a real relationship.

The story is mind blowing and very refreshing. At Divergent, I thought it was not very original, but I take it back now, this series is a good one. A fresh one.

Loyalties, limits, and strengths will be tested here. Veronica Roth is an author to watch out for. :) ...more
