A nostalgia novel about a summer of seven friends overcoming challenges through the power of love and friendship.
(Spoilers) No, but really, a lot of this book was horror to the point of comical. It felt like King just flipping through as much gross stuff as he could, like, he's standing there with a giant eyeball and you just shrug and he's like, "well if this doesn't gross you out, what about THIS" and holds up a bucket a blood and you shrug again and he says, "well what about feeling UNLOVED, ...more

I read this 1100+ page book in a week-and-a-half because it is just that enthralling! What an engrossing tale and a classic example of Stephen King storytelling. It's a 'Wow!' of a read. Forget about work, chores and accomplishing anything; you are just going to want to keep reading this book!
