What Members Thought

Not quite as compulsively readable as the first, but the second book of a long series is generally a lot of setup. I appreciated how some of the less developed characters in the first book began to have defined personalities of their own.

I loved the inclusion of more fantasy elements in the second book of this series. I went into this series expecting it to have more fantasy than the first book ended up having, so following the story lines featuring Daenerys, the Red Woman, and Jon Snow were particularly interesting to me in the second book where the fantastical became more prevalent. This was just as good as the first book in the series. I like all the different intrigues, and the adventures of the main characters. I just want to read it all at once and get to know how it ends! It's so great to get to see the events from so many different viewpoints. I got myself a few favorite characters in the first book, and they are still my favorites. Can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

Though not quite as good as the first one, this has yet again been a mighty read full of battles treachery and the claims for lands and thrones with murder along the way. There are a lot of characters to remember along the way! I can't wait to start book 3 soon!
