Oh my heart.

This book was absolutely beautiful and I now 100% understand why people rave about it.

This was my first ever Kristin Hannah novel and I can’t wait to pick up more by her. Her storytelling is beyond amazing and her writing is incredible.

To say that I love this story is a complete understatement.
It left me sobbing.

I wished I could say more but I just cant find the words right now.

But if you haven’t picked this one up yet, what are you waiting for? Do it.

This book broke my heart increasingly over its entirety until i got to the end and saw that there was no happiness, everything was broken and lost and sad. Then i cried. like i hadn't been crying through the whole book. I dont cry during books. this book is only for the very strong hearted. it will break you. but we need books like this. it was the reality at the time, in all its horror. this book showed me the true reality of what life was like during ww2 in a way i never truly knew. every time ...more
