As a historical fiction lover, I cannot believe I let this sit unread on my shelf for so long. This book is one emotional ride, and Kristin Hannah captures the experience of two women during WWII in such an incredible way. I will definitely be reading more from Kristin Hannah. Highly recommended this book! It has sister relationships, women friendships, love, war, and some very good plot twists. The themes on this.novel are very important and thought-provoking about World War II. Read it for the strong fearless warrior women.

This is a book for school. I got to pick off of a list. They want us to have summer reading so we are lifelong readers but I'm glad I read this for school because it's not something I would've picked up on my own. So captivating and cruel and beautiful. I didn't think I would get anything out of it but this book ruined me.
