The five Lisbon sisters were almost worshipped by their entire neighborhood. Nonetheless, they all committed suicide within a year. Twenty years later, the boys who once had a crush on them try to make sense of their deaths.

This book sounded really promising. But I had problems to connect with the story and the narrators. The novel is written from a first plural perspective. Since the boys didn’t have contact with the sisters regularly, their memories are based on rumors and on minor details. Th ...more

i loved how the story unfolded yet i felt rejected by how quickly and abruptly it ended. I wish the author had written 10 more pages. None the less a good read.
