Let’s kick off this reboot the Gilmore way: coffee in hand, book in lap, emotions fully braced. ☕📖💬

This will be the first for the group re-boot, and we’re starting strong (and maybe a little weepy) with Flowers for Algernon, a modern classic and a staple of many school reading lists — including, of course, Rory Gilmore’s.
📖 Flowers for Algernon follows Charlie Gordon, a man with an intellectual disability who undergoes an experimental procedure to increase his intelligence. Told through his progress reports, the story is both uplifting and heartbreaking, asking what it means to be human, to be “smart,” and to be truly known.
🧠 This book gives us so much to talk about:
• How did you feel about the format and structure?
• Were there moments that hit you harder than you expected?
• How did your perception of Charlie shift as the book progressed?
• Did the ending wreck you? (Be honest.)
Post thoughts, quotes, questions, or cry-face emojis — whatever feels right. Just remember to mark spoilers if you’re posting specifics that could affect the reading experience.
☕ Let’s channel our inner Rory and dive into some deeply emotional, classic lit discussion. Gilmore girls, guys, and pals — your thoughts?
