The story of the Grinch who hates Christmas and wants to stop it from coming. He comes up with a plan to stop t but learns Christmas is about more than things. The lesson isn't preachy and is something a lot of people need to remember. I love this book, partly because of the wonderful drawings of the Grinch and Max. Max is my favorite character even though he doesn't get to do much in the book.

Another for the Gilmore Girls reading challenge. I must have read this to my children 452 times a piece when they were little. We watched the original movie and them Jim Carrey version a zillion and one times. If you've only seen the movies (gasp), please take the time to read this Dr. Seuss great! Must be read out loud.
