I have to say so far, this one is my favourite in the series. Which is not saying much since it's only the third book, but it was definitely much better then the last two. Laurell K. Hamilton toned down her gun descriptions a bit and focused more on a story which was very nice.
The story had me hooked through the whole book, it moved pretty fast. I enjoyed Richard and Larry who where introduced in this book, and hope they stick around for a while. Can't wait to get my hands on "The Lunatic Cafe" ...more

I was actually kind of disappointed with this book. I loved the first two in the Anita Blake series, and while this one wasn't bad, it wasn't near as good either. It actually made me quite uncomfortable, the way the relationships are panning out. Maybe that's a good thing though. Keep the readers guessing. I'm hoping number 4 is a bit more enjoyable.

I loved this series when it first started but the later books do seem to have lost their charm. I could go into details but most people who have read these books have written extensively about the problems this series has developed.
Of course it is really a fluff series but even fluff should have a nice texture to it.
