I really like VE Schwab's other books, so I was surprised that I was so disappointed in this one.
I felt like the characters were very one-dimensional, which in turn made the twists to the story seem very anticlimactic.
There are also a lot of plot holes, the most important one being that there doesn't appear to be much of a reason for the archive's existence in the first place. It is never explained why returning the Histories to the archive is so important, so it felt like there was not enough ...more
