Anyone who I add as a friend on here knows by now that I never pick up Contemporary YA novels. Most just don't work for me, and if all the flaws can hide behind vampires, zombies, and magic it becomes easier to ignore the faults. Thank you Tammara Webber for eliminating the doubt I had before reading this book.

A rather "Easy" and light, but extremely enjoyable and full of life lessons, read that will definitely hold a solid place in your library.

I must say I totally loved reading this book. I won't say much about the plot because it's so cute and beautiful and raw and heartbreaking and amazing, I want all of you to deeply feel those emotions yourself. Wow, is how I would probably start with. I got this book reccomended by a close friend who said she loved and it was a must read. Luckly, I had already bought the book earlier because the cover caught my eye.

This book was so much fun to read, it had a beautiful story to go along with it as well. Be aware that this book does discuss some very deep and emotional events that can occur to anybody.

The story starts off about a college student named Jackie, who has been dating her boyfriend for a cou Wow, is how I would probably start with. This book was so much fun to read, it had a beautiful story to go along with it as well. Be aware that this book does discuss some very deep and emotional events that can occur to anybody.

The story starts off about a college student named Jackie, who has been dating her boyfriend for a couple of years in highschool and now that they are in college, she pictures them staying together forever but, that isn't in her boyfriends plan. Emotionally beaten she tries to get over the break up and aviod her ex. All would be easy if her best friend didn't take her to a frat party where not only is she reminded of the relationship she doesn't have but, also becomes a victim of a sexual assult. If it wasn't for a dark haired stanger that saves her. Soon, she wants to learn more about him and develops a plan, she is only going to use him as a rebound. Jackie, starts spinning into his world, dying to uncover his secrets. Will just using him still be on her mind in the end?

So, essentailly the story talks about this dark haired stranger, and let me tell you I couldn't get enough of him. Lucas, by fair has to be one of my favorite men in literature. I loved that he had so many secrets that Jackie had to figure out but, I also loved the type of character he was made to be because of those secrets.

Jackie, wasn't your average female character. I enjoyed watching her grow in the book and fight for what she believed. She grew a lot from being a fragile young girl, with whom her boyfriend broke up with, to a strong and independent young lady who stood by the side of a man that was dealing with the dark secrets of his past. I really liked that no matter how much Lucas, would try to push her away, she stood by him and supported him.

I give this book 5 stars. It was a light read, full of emotion and entertainment. It was also, interesting to read because its from a new genre of literature, called "new adult" which translate to being a ya novel with sex. I highly reccomend this it was a really fun read and I fell in love with the characters that were brought to life even the antagonist had an affect on me.

I just...wow. Despite all the good reviews and the amazing rating, I was in no way expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. Just...wow! It was sooooo good. All the characters seemed so real and authentic - they could be real people, no doubt about it. Jacqueline was ridiculously relatable. Lucas was incredibly dreamy. Erin was the perfect 'sidekick'. Ugh, just everyone and everything. I seriously really enjoyed this book and will be recommending it to anyone that asks. A++. ...more

I surprisingly enjoyed this! It's so hard with romance books especially the ones labeled New Adult to find something I really LOVE and though I didn't fall in love with this one I liked it.

Our plot starts out with our main character Jacqueline walking to her car after her ex's frat party. One of the guys she knows tries to rape her and a random guy she doesn't know saves her. I really enjoyed the relationship progress in this. It was sweet and flowed as naturally as it could. There is some steamy times but it's not overly explicit. I liked both characters as well, but I think what I liked best was the underlying message and mystery behind Lucas. That was heartbreaking.
