I've heard so many good things about this book and I’m happy to say I was not disappointed!

If you read my reviews you know that I am a huge fan of troupes, and this book gave me a satisfying dose of Enemies-to-lovers, and arranged marriage!

The plot, the banter, the politics, the romance, the world, the characters, ugh, everything was so amazing and unique. This had me hooked from the start!

Well, I didn't expect it to be this good! It was really really good. I hate it most when protagonists in enemies to lovers tropes turn enemies to lovers in the blink of an eye. This moment,they are enemies. The next moment, they can't live without each other. Why? Because the other sex is damn handsome. I mean, come on! Update: 4/25: have I read just listened to the audiobook for this a second time after physically reading it? Yes. Did it hit me just as hard as the first and second time? You betcha.

Guys I am in actual tears over this book. We are only a month and a half into the new year and I already know this book will be one of my top 5 of the year. This will definitely be a reread for me in the future. I was swept away in the setting, plot and romance of this story.

I love the style of writing: vividly descriptive while being easy to read. Layers upon layers of character depth unravel into a nail biting plot. I binged this in a little over a day and would gladly do so again. My only disappointment is there were no surprising plot twists.

Warning: quite a bit of battle violence (PG-13) and one explicit sex scene (X)

I’m a sucker for an action-packed fantasy, and The Bridge Kingdom delivered. Lara was strong as hell, female character tripling as warrior, a spy, and a queen. She had to dodge deceptions, and find out the truth behind the lies in order to save her Kingdom and her heart.

The sexy level was very well done. The relationship between Lara and Aren was realistic as it had a natural development, earned by trust. That said, the romantic nature of there marriage did not come to fruition until the latter ...more

My first Danielle L. Jensen book and I think I may be in love with the author's writing.
This book was so good!
I absolutely loved the world this book was set in.
Lara is AWESOME and I dont think I have been so totally on board with a charater from the word go ever before.
Also I have discovered Im a total sucker for the enemies to lovers trope.

I loved this book so much. I’m so invested in the characters and fell in love so quickly. The emotional roller coaster at the end of the book has left me so empty knowing I have to wait for the next book. I 👏🏻 NEED 👏🏻 IT 👏🏻 NOW! Honestly can’t wait for book #2 and to be completely wrapped up in this story again.
