OK- so the first chapter of this book IS OFF THE HOOK. That ending *chef’s kiss* — but then meh— nothing too memorable.

BUT Traitor Queen (book 2) NOW that is a book! (See that review for more 🤪)

The utter pleasure I felt reading this has left me with no words. I loved the fact that Lara has trained her whole life to be an assassin, yet having to stand by and watch wars unfurl around her and not being able to intervene and help without giving her secret away. Oh... my... goodness - this book was SO good!!! Wow, I need to get my hands on the next one ASAP; not only the next book in the series, but I need to buy all of this authors books! This was the first book I read from her, but after reading about other series she has written I am shocked I haven't heard about her before - they all sounds awesome.

The world building was not only amazing, but I just LOVED all of the names that the author used in this story; from the characters to the different

I had no intentions of this picking up, because I'm simply not great with adult book. BUT THIS WAS SO GOOD. LIKE SO GOOD. The enemies to lovers, the angst, the slow burn, the betrayal, the politics. I could go on. It was easy to stay up all night to read this, more than that, it was easy to shelf it as a favourite. I need more people to pick this up and gush with me about it. Readers of Jennifer L. Armentrout, Sarah J. Maas, Sabaa Tahir and Shelby Mahurin will eat this up. ...more
