Well, Vietnam is one of those places that I am fascinated by and can't seem to learn enough about, but would never want to visit, which is why I love traveling through my reading choices. I guess this fascination dates back to the 70s, since I am a flower child of this era, and I have strong memories of watching LIVE as the last POWs from the Vietnam War arrived home. This hauntingly beautiful novel will stay with me. The story revolves around three characters - Helen, Darrow and Linh - whose lives are affected by the Vietnam War.

Where to start?! Well, like the heroine Helen who did not want the war in Vietnam to end so she wouldn’t have to leave her life there I did not want this book to end.
