Just enjoyed this one for the second time. Beautifully written, intricate mystery, with wonderful characterization; well worth rereading.

Three separate crimes are brought together 30 years later by PI Jackson Brodie.
This is my first Kate Atkinson book - and I loved her writing style but really wish that some of the characters could have been more likable....or even likable. The only likable characters were the ones who were dead or minor players (I did like Theo). I was really into this book for the first 75 pages, she was laying out the three cases and introducing characters, I thought it would turn out to be a great read. After approximately 75 pages, the rest of the book was long, too much monotonous detail and it just dragged on forever. I am really surprised to have completed the book. I really enjoyed her writing style but it just wasn't enough. I thought this was going to be a series I would want to read. I just removed the next book from my TBR li

Seems complicated enough to keep me reading . . . lots of character sets introduced in succession chapter by chapter; I'm guessing an experience or theme or interaction will connect them all . . .
