The Invisible Bridge by Julie Orringer was recommended to me by two friends back in 2011. It has remained on my to-read shelf since then. As I was going to be vacationing with them during Spring Break 2013, I decided to put it on the top of my to-listen shelf.

I have just finished this book while having my coffee this morning and have been so moved by it that it made me cry. It brought the reality of the Second World War into perspective for me and at the same time the purity of a love story that stood the test of that era was truly touching. It is a wonderful book; enlightening, moving and so touching. I recommend it very highly.

Once again, a Jewish WW11 novel. I've tried to stay away from them---but I am always drawn back. I will always remember Andras Levi & his family.

This is a wonderfully told story of 1930s Budapest and starts out just as a young Hungarian Jew, Andras Lévi, departs for the École Spéciale d'Architecture in Paris.
