DNF- Doesn't seem to hold my attention. I keep finding myself skipping paragraphs. Doesn't seem like an authentic representation of Mr. March. Does a good job replicating writing style of late 1800s.

I chose to read Geraldine Brooks March as a companion to my re-read of Little Women, a childhood favorite by Louisa May Alcott. Although it drags some, March is an excellent companion read. Brooks does an excellent job picking out a few tidbits straight from Little Women and uses them in March. Brooks has also matched the time line in March to the time line in the first book of Little Women - one year of the civil war beginning on Christmas Eve.
