Hannah Heath is called on to study and help restore the Sarevjo Haggadah. She discovers artifacts in the book that reveal both the history of the book and an astonishing coverup.
This was great to listen to. It moved along quickly but not too quickly to be able to savor moments. Along the way, several surprises were revealed about the fictionalized history of the real Sarevjo Haggadah.

Geraldine Brooks is one of my favorite authors. I enjoyed this book, which I listened to via Overdrive during my daily commute. I enjoyed the arc of the story and the writing. I wouldn't say it's one of her best, but I did like it. What I did NOT like about this audio version was the "acting" by the narrator. My understanding is that she's Australian (as is Ms. Brooks originally) and so is the protagonist of the story. The narrator felt compelled to assume the accent of each of the other charact
