What would you get if you added space aliens to the HBO series "Entourage"? You'd get John Scalzi's "Agent to the Stars". This book had me rolling with laughter. I was up way too late last night finishing it. There's nothing deep here. Not really sci fi (well it *is*, but...) more a romantic comedy. Alternates between wacky comedy and serious discussion of super serious things like suicide and the Holocaust. Seriously. Great reading (Wil Wheaton) of a mediocre book. Wouldn't bother in print but the audible edition is entertaining enough- the reading makes it. I don't regret spending one credit on it.

Scalzi's first book puts a different sort of twist on the first contact scenario. Agent to the Stars is a fairly easy read filled with typical Scalzi humor, without any major surprises or twists likely to keep the reader off guard. The ending is a bit too neat and tidy, but overall a light, enjoyable book.
