I love fiction set in the Victorian era. Sexually-repressive mores and cool, arrogant superiority aside, the Victorians embody a sense of order and etiquette that often escapes us these days. This is a hard book to rate. I'll give it a four just based on how "cool" the book is. The world is awesome...one of the best I can think of...but it never really grabbed me. It was certainly interesting, but I had a hard time reading a lot in a sitting.
