Victoria Schwab has an amazing way with words. She does an outstanding job describing the world, the characters, and developing the plot. I love how she incorporates the discussions with the grandfather into present day. Her writing style is unique and very well done.

ALL! THE! STARS!

For real though, this book deserves way more than five stars! It was great! More than great!

This book for me started off kind of slow. There was a lot of world building and back story telling going on. Granted, all that world building was amazing and the back story was also really important to the character so I kept trucking on and I’m so thankful I did. --UPDATE: 2016-- Opinion on this book has not changed. I adore this world, how it's written and the characters within. Luckily it's been a couple years since I last read this book so specific details had escaped me so I was able to enjoy a few of the small twists leading up to the big one, especially the "story piecing together" near the end. Definitely will be a constant reread for me.

I really love this book so much. I went into this book only knowing that the dead rest on shelves like books and I came out with so much more than that. I love the writing, the whole idea behind the archive, and Mackenzie and the story in general. I definitely cant wait to read the next book since I have no idea where that will lead me just like The Archived did..

THIS BOOK IS JUST AMAZING. YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK. The only reason it took me so long to finish this is because I don't want it to end. Such a fantastic read. This book is A+++++++ I'm not even exaggerating.
