3 1/2 "Frustrating" Stars!
Mac is still an idiot. Barrons is still an ass. There are many more questions brought up than answers revealed. I'm getting frustrated. 😒 I had a feeling this is how this series would be for me, but as of now, I'm still interested and I'm giving book 3 a go. I already have it downloaded anyway.

Definitely tighter narrative and overall better character development than volume 1. The continued red-herrings of attractive males other than Barrons started to get annoying -- it's obvious where this is going. Ended on another cliff=hanger. 3.5 stars.
