Despite portraying the 1860s, too much about this story; attitudes, behaviour, and plot logistic, were constructed hollowly. It was no mystery or paranormal foray but a commentary on ill treatment. There was no triumph in intelligent awareness of unjust politics, while those affected could not surmount it. All interactions were uncomfortable, with a suddenly fortuitous conclusion.
