V rámci dočítání knih na mém CR listu jsem dočetla i Harryho. Už je to dlouho, co jsem ho četla, takže to byl jako návrat domů. Nicméně... nevím. Pořád miluju svět Bradavic, ale oproti dětství si daleko víc všímám nějakých nesrovnalostí a taky postav. Pořád platí, že nesnáším Harryho a v tomhle dílu mě začala iritovat i Hermiona. Oh well. Stejně mým favoritem byl vždycky Ron. A samozřejmě Lockhart.

As a young child, I grew up surrounded by the Harry Potter universe. The books where a childhood classic among many of my peers, and as I grew older, the movie era of Harry Potter began. I remember being around 7 yrs old when the first movie was released and I became obsessed. It was unfortunate however that I chose not to read the books until I reached adulthood, seeing as how I was happy with simply viewing the movies over and over again.

This book is the second installment to the Harry Potter series, and I must admit, it ended up being my second least favorite out of the entire series. I do love seeing the journey into the chamber of secrets through Harry's eyes and experiencing his emotions, rather then just watching it on screen, but the script of the movie and the story where so similar that I felt it easier to simply watch the movie, seeing as it takes less time. Because of this, I rated the Chamber of Secrets a 4 out of 5 stars.

First off, I must say I'm surprised it took me over four years to read this series again. After reading my original review on this book, I must say I'm pleasantly surprised with how I feel about the Chamber of Secrets now, which is drastically different to how I felt four years ago reading the Harry Potter series for the first time. I've always said that the Chamber of Secrets was one of my least favorite book/movie in the series, having only rated it 4/5. I'm not sure what's changed my thoughts and feeling towards the book but I found myself enjoying it now than I did previously. I loved all the details that you don't see on the big screen, making it feels as though it's a secret not everyone knows. I am glad to say that this book has been bump up to the favorites list and I now rate it a solid 5/5!
On a side now, I can say that as I grow older, I am enjoying the series even more than I previously did when I was a teen and I hope that the next time I read this series, I'll enjoy it even more than I did this time around! ...more
