Lauren Oliver never disappoints. This was a full on action book. I loved the feeling of it, the aerie atmosphere, and the relationships between the characters were well built. Panic is a dangerous game and the winner gets money, lots of it. Its illegal, its only for seniors and it will keep you on your toes. It surely kept me up at night, its such a page turner. Challenge after challenge, i devoured this book not knowing who i was rooting for, Heather or Dodge, but loving in nonetheless. ♥

Panic was an excellent read. each challenge in games were intense making my heart race every time. overall I give it a 3.5/5 stars.

I absolutely hated Nat. I though she was suspicious from the start,then when she made the deal with heather and then with dodge it just confirmed my suspicions and hatred towards her. I thought she was a coward and naive throughout the whole book. Now don't get me started on Nat and the challenges. my god was she useless! Pathetic! Absolutely pathetic! she did nothing. if anything she dragged heather down. when she was doing the tiger challenge I was like yes! this is the chance for Lauren to kill her off. but no that didn't happen. instead she just failed by a friggin second!. I didn't like how she used dodge. dodge allowing himself to be used by her made me not like his character much either. he was just too clouded by his stupid "love" for her that he just went along with whatever plan she came up with.

Now Bishop. ok I though there was something going on with Bishop at the beginning, on the second challenge when he didn't return heathers calls and just disappeared. my suspicions of him being a judge were slightly more confirmed when he didn't turn up to the haunted house challenge. I don't know, him being a judge wasn't really that surprising for me. I kept thinking that maybe Nat or even dodge may be a judge. (I don't know why). I didn't really like heather much either. for me she did have some bad ass movement like when she was talking to Mike. I liked her attitude change after she left home and when she finally realised why she went into the games and who she is playing for. overall though I didn't really love or get to attached to any of the characters. for me it was the way it was written and the challenges in Panic that got me hooked.

I was satisfied by the epilogue. though it would have been better if we could have found out what happened to Ray (if he made it out of the car) or what happened to the tiger. it was nice seeing that heather and Bishop were finally together. (I cant believe it took the bloody whole book for them to say 'I love you').

so yeah still an enjoyable read. it is addictive considering the characters for me were boring. I rate it 3.5/5

I liked it, but I did not fall in love with it. There were some parts that seemed too.... predictable.
The challenges scared the hell out of me, and if I were there, I would've never been through the second one. The third one, with the Graybill's house was sooo creepy, I would've had a PANIC attack. (see what I did there? :D)
Anyway, I loved Bishop. Not as perf as other book boys, but good enough.
