To call this book a "disappointment" is putting it quite mildly. I was looking forward to this book for a year - so much so that I even managed to slog through the dreadful A Court of Thorns and Roses (which was only interesting for the last third of the book) during a reread.

I love A Court of Mist and Fury (ACOMAF). I love that Feyre is dealing with a lot of shit from her time Under the Mountain. I love that PTSD is portrayed pretty accurately here. I love Rhys' humor and attempts to draw Feyr ...more

Can't help but feel left a little wanting with this one. I love Maas and GoT is one of my favourite series. The last book in this series I loved too. This one, maybe from such big expectations, just didn't live up to the ridiculously high standards of her other books.
Starting with her infiltrating the Spring court it felt like what should be full of tension at being caught but it was all too easy to fool them. There were large portions of the book which just dragged and felt unnecessary. The las ...more
