If I had to describe this book in one word it would be- whimsical. It also gave me Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends vibes. If you love the found family trope, you’re gonna eat this up!

Happy tears finishing up this book. One of the reviews said it was akin to “a warm gay hug” and I couldn’t agree more. I could wax poetic about all the very clear references to today’s politics and these things that seemingly divide us- but instead, I would encourage you to read this book if you need a splash of color, another perspective on living, a reminder that you can choose to have sun on your skin and sand under your toes.
