A collection of short stories within a story. Tommy and Tuppence impersonate Mr Blunt who runs an international detective agency which is a front for Russian spies. The two detectives undertake a series of investigations which parodies the styles of well-known detective writers of that era.
A Fairy in the Flat/A Pot of Tea introduces Tommy and Tuppence at the International Detective Agency. There first case is an amusing one about a missing girl which Tuppence solves.

Normally I'm not one for short stories. Agatha Christie's always prove to be an exception.
Tommy and Tuppence are one of my favourite fictional couples: their friendly banter is delightful and it is always such fun as they constantly bounce off one another. They hold each other in the highest regard and I love them all the more for it.

I really enjoyed this instalment from Agatha Christie, I've been enjoying her novels and short stories thus far and this book didn't disappoint. I loved the fact that it's a novel filled with loads of short stories wrapped into it about Tommy and Tuppence Beresford. I know I shall be revisiting this book in the future.

I loved those short stories. Tommy and Tuppence are great together, searching for crimes and pretend to be great literature detectives as Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot!
Can't wait to read their next adventures. ...more

This could have so easily been a dozen or so books, but Christie crams some of the most fun of her mysteries into one volume, which makes this all the more enjoyable to read.
