I really enjoyed this book, both the plot and the characters. I have definitely appreciated Mia and her daughter and less the other characters. I will try to read more by this writer.

I definetly thought this was a good read. Especially if you like literature. Not much happens but a great character study into what could happen if separate "classes" and ways of life intermingle. Very real and believable.

The TV show was a great adaptation that I think added even more depth to the characters and their struggles while also being moving and entertaining. ...more

Caught Me By Surprise

This was a good one. Totally different than what I had expected! It had left seemingly in such a cliff hanger. And of course I wanted resolve for all of the characters. But Shaker Heights - what a concept and what an interesting and thought provoking book.
