What Members Thought

I really wish they had a half star because this is a 3.5 star book in my opinion. I just can't push it up to 4 much as I want to and 3 really doesn't seem enough.
I hated this book.
Look, I'm autistic, it's hard enough trying to sort out the repercussions of a failed social interaction at the surface level, much less worrying about the deeper implications of every encounter. Now I'm sitting here thinking this through and thinking how much I'm missing up til now, and how much more I'm likely to mis ...more

Interesting premise, and I had hopes that this could be a YA version of "The Secret History" (Donna Tartt). But the implementation was messy. Reminded me of why I gave up on Pretty Little Liars. The mystery was compelling, but the storytelling was bland.

Clay finds himself listening to the last thoughts of Hannah as she retells her story, outlining the reasons why she ended her life. Each person who receives the tapes has contributed in some way to her demise.
This book was definitely an eye opener. It is actually very sad and I hope that n ...more

Great for an audiobook since Clay is listening to the tapes Hannah is speaking on to tell her reasons for suicide. I don't know if I had read the book if it would have been quite as interesting.
