In a "Sixth Sense" sort of way, once you know the secret, you likely won't go back to re-read this book. Or if you do, it's to see just how masterfully the author wove this plot together. I did NOT see this ending coming.

This is one of the best books I've read this year. Oh yes, this deserves the title of Best of 2014 in Young Adult fiction that Goodreads has given it. We have a story with a narrator who has too many holes in her memory, with the hint that something awful happened. As you read

3. The writing
4. Living in Cadence's head all the time
5. THE WRITING

The Sinclair family is a prominent family that spends its summers on a private island close to Martha's Vineyard. The Patriarch, Harris Sinclair, has three daughters and has built each daughter their own house on the island. The three daughter

WASP-y existential angst and a twist I can't believe I didn't see coming from ten miles away. We're gonna chalk it up to sheer incredulity we're still using that twist and speak of it no more, okay? ...more

I gave up on this book the first time I tried to read. This time I listened to the audio book and finished it.
