What would you do if you were paralysed for life? if you had to sit in a wheelchair for the rest of your existence? if you had to be fed, bathed, wiped, cleaned, pee in a bag for every single day of your life. Would you chose to end your life by chosing assited suicide or would you drag out the rest of your life on a wheelchair being taken care of by someone else keeping the people who love you up all night in a constant state of vigilance with a panic that any day can be your last day and the s What would you do if you were paralysed for life? if you had to sit in a wheelchair for the rest of your existence? if you had to be fed, bathed, wiped, cleaned, pee in a bag for every single day of your life. Would you chose to end your life by chosing assited suicide or would you drag out the rest of your life on a wheelchair being taken care of by someone else keeping the people who love you up all night in a constant state of vigilance with a panic that any day can be your last day and the slightest breeze could cause you a fever.A sneeze in the far corner of the room can get you infected with something terrible like pneumonia.

Going into this book I wanted something different and what I got in return was a shock. I did not expect the turn this book took. I thought that it would have a happy ending but this book was actually an eye opener to a different life. A different perspective to living. A choise that not everyone can understand , I'm not sure I do either. But it really makes you think of what would you do? because any thing can happen to anyone at any given moment.

I loved Lou and Will. they were so real and ordinary people like you and me. with very real, imaginagble lives. and I feel this book is way too underater. It's not about coping with the loss of a loved one. It's about realising and making it a part of your reality that some one you really love and care about actually wants to end there life and to think of it in a very logical and rational way. To make them make you think that its ok. That it's the right thing to do. when all your life you have been told that taking your own life is wrong and immoral. some would even say a sin. what what you do? would you go along with it or would you oppose it?

As human beigns we dont really actually know what's right and what is wrong. We just go along with what people tell us. Rarely considering the exception cases or the what if's ? we dont fully comprehend the meaning of this life till we finally loose it or are at the verge of loosing it so how can we comprehend the exception and the what ifs.
But in my limited experience I believe that life has an infinite number of possibilities and that is also something that the human mind can not comprehend. So I would not completely agree with what happens in this book. But it doesn't matter what my opinion is. This book just gives me some thing to think about. That there are infinite number of people who are living out there finite life in an infinite number of possibilities. it made me think about other people going through a similar plight or worse and also the ordinary people living there ordinary lives with minimum or no affliction at all.

I guess that's why I love reading. it makes you more considerate as a human being. ...more

Ok. Where to start?! I loved this book! It made me laugh, cry, and somewhere in between. I fell in love with the characters. Trying to put myself in the position of Louisa, I'm pretty sure I couldn't have been brave enough to do half of what she did. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the rest of the authors books, that I have heard good things about as well. ...more

I don't really read romantic books, but I made an exception with this one. Actually the movie trailer got me interested, and as a principle, I always read the book first, and see the movie after.
