Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!

The love story broke the boundary of the ordinary and stepped into being one which won't be easy to forget. The characters Lou, Treena, Mrs. Traynor, Mum etc were realistic and you could feel empathy for them.
The story forces to really question the right and wrongs of the grey area. What would you if had to let someone you love die? What would you do if you were the one in the wheelchair?

I want to write a proper review for this book but for now I'll just leave this here.

I loved this book. Absolutely loved it. I try to stay away from chick lit books usually or books that I know will make me cry (cause I'm a total sap) but I had to read this one. The story wasn't a gushy romance like I half feared it might be. It made me laugh and boy did it make me cry. Lou reminded me a little bit of myself, trying to be bold in a small safe little world scared to journey outside our comfort zon I want to write a proper review for this book but for now I'll just leave this here.

Lou reminded me a little bit of myself, trying to be bold in a small safe little world scared to journey outside our comfort zones. I've always wanted to travel but in a way was too fearful. Then I met my boyfriend whose dream it is to travel the world and now I can't wait for each adventure that we go on. He has made me live my life more than I ever did by myself.

The ending of this book broke my heart. I knew he was going to die at the end but a part of me continued to hope through the whole book that I was wrong and heard the ending wrong. Even though I cried my eyes out I liked the ending. I took a medical ethics class in college and we had debates about assisted suicide for about a month. It's a tough topic but that class gave me all sorts of different perspectives. I remember watching a documentary with handicapped people fighting for both sides that was extremely moving. But looking back as much as we debated on it none of us had these life altering/debilitating conditions. No matter what I think it's really not my choice and that I think is the purpose of this book. We may want to change someone's mind thinking our way is the better way it's ultimately not our choice. And as much as you hate the decision sometimes you have to respect the choices that people make. While assisted suicide is a big choice even on smaller things everyone hates having people tell them what they can or cannot do.

But back on topic to the book. I would highly recommend this book. I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm definitely planning on going with a full box of tissues. ...more

Written with clear and realistic dialog, this is the story of an unlikely couple set up for heartbreak. It is excruciatingly tender, sweet, real, and painful. Facing the agony of choosing between life and death, it is an affair to remember.

A birthday gift given to me today, and I devoured it.

I loved Clarke and Wills relationship.
The sister got on my nerve.
The boyfriend was a douche.
Nathan was midly entertaining.

But Clarke and Will carried this book.
His anger and sadness, mixed with his sarcasm and snideness.
Her determination, joy and zaniness mixed with her ability to push through.

It was a good audio book. This author writes what I consider "beach reading". Nothing involved, just light, enjoyable reading that you can pick up and put down without difficulty.
