It was a captivating read - all about quadriplegics, the problems they as well their carers face, which is unthinkable to normal or even relatively ill patients. I was very sympathetic to all characters in this book, even the jilting lovers, I could understand their reasoning and mental processes. I felt very bad for the lead characters, Will and Lou. Re-read 2021:
I changed my rating from a 3 to a 4 star upon re-reading this. It really is a unique and heart-wrenching story. I still didn’t like the ending, but Moyes wrote this so beautifully and truthfully I had to give the book the recognition it deserves.

I was emotionally connected to this story for many reasons, and although I don't know what I'd do if I were in similar circumstances, I think the author did an amazing job with such a sensitive real life si
