Okay, "The Wrath and the Dawn" is certainly my most favourite book of 2015 and it probably will take its rightful place among my most favourite books of all time, among the first 10 of them or something like that.

I'm really torn on my feelings for this book. There were things I liked and things I didn't, so I'm going to take some time to sort my thoughts.

This book was magic! It had all the traits of a perfect book: kick-ass heroine, hero with a mysterious past, two amazing best friends to the protagonists, a second-lead syndrome, sinister underlying dread growing alongside the story, battle of an epic-scale kind etc.

The Wrath and the Dawn was a good book, but I wasn't amazed by it like I expected to be. I feel like there's a trend now to make YA fantasy novels stretch out into multi-book series that MUST end in cliffhangers, and that doesn't always work for every book. While this book never felt boring, there also wasn't a lot that happened.
