I've been wavering between 2 and 3 stars throughout the whole book.
I loved the idea. Kingdoms based on seasons, bickering and warring with each other. And autumn and winter just happen to be my two favorite real seasons, so that was an added bonus.

But I found the execution a bit lacking.
I started having a problem with it right from the get go with the distracting information dumps. I like it when an author slowly weaves the world, peoples, and kingdoms together as the story progresses; immersin ...more
