What in the world kind of rating do I give this book? I hated it, I hated the characters, I hated the madness that infected every last person in the book by the end....
I also could not stop reading it.
So what do you call that? How do you put it into words? I'll give it 3 stars because it is in the middle and only because that is all I can do. The book is either brilliant or ghastly and in turns both. Take your chances, though you'll not put it down if you start. ...more

A very dramamtic love story that is depressing but does have a happy ending in a very gothic way. It is a classic, but I don't think it is a great model for a true love story.

Possibly my least favorite book of all time. I don't know if I hated Bleak House more.
