Read this book many times. From middle school on
A classic in every sense of the word. Jane Eyre has withstood the test of time, it is as poetic and romantic as the first time I read it some fifty years ago. Who could not think of Jane Eyre without thinking of her proud Mr. Rochester by her side. I truly believe I enjoyed reading Jane Eyre more then ever this time around... only goes to prove that some things improve with age!
Loved, both times I read it.
Hands down my favorite classic.
A new all time favorite. I loved this novel. Jane is such a strong and levelheaded character. She stands for her beliefs in God and her values. There is some mystery, horror and romance so it satisfies on many levels. The long journey Jane takes through the novel is met with a somewhat happy ending that leaves the reader feeling appeased. The language wasn't that difficult to read through either. It flowed and didn't have a heavy amount of vocabulary that was new or confusing. Great book!
