Reading this book made the issues I'd had with Divergent make more sense. This starts right where Divergent finishes, and they can be seen as a single long story. The world makes a lot more sense when you get to the end of Insurgent, and there is more to be explained in Allegiant (I haven't read it yet, so I cannot be sure whether or not things are explained).

I had really been looking forward to reading this as soon as I finished Divergent. These books had sat on my Nook for quite a while, and by the time I read them, I could not figure out what had taken me so long to read them. In case you are not already aware, this is considered dystopian fiction, although there are pieces in it for everyone. It has romance, action, adventure, conflict, and all of the things you look for in an awesome novel.

Usually the follow up story is dull and unexciting in my experience. Not with this book. Kudos to Roth for making this book exciting to the last breath at the very end. Revelations flowed masterfully with action keeping us equally entertained and utterly enthused. Let me just say, the end was so exciting, I had to read it three times.
