This Is A Book That Everyone Should steal.
through the eye of the grim reaper an 11 year old adopted girl in nazi germany find refuge by sealing books. the narrator of the audio book was amazing. The use of death as a narrator was original and didn't distract from the story. The characterization was was arranged in an original way also. ...more

Any book that makes me feel this much just... I can't even describe it. It reminded almost of a Jonathan Safran Foer book, with stories from the past blending into chapters from the present. Everything was shown kind of scrambled with parts being revealed before their chronological occurrence, and then later fully explained. I really liked it. I really wish that it was longer. It ended in a place where I really just wanted to know so much more about Leisl and her life and everything she did afte ...more

I have to admit, at the beginning I was like meh another Holocaust book. But because of all the rave reviews I'd heard I decided to continue reading. And OH MAN OH MAN am I glad I did. This book was profound and dynamic in so many ways. There is such beauty in the devastation that surrounds this novel that it is well worth the read. ...more

I loved the book and the movie - Zusak has a very unique writing style but if you enjoy reading about the WW II era, I believe you will enjoy this book too.
